I have a big amel female that I had placed with a snow and while I never saw a lock I feel bumps when I run my fingers down her belly. She shed 15 days ago but still no eggs have shown up. I decided to give her a hopper sized mouse yesterday just to see if she'd be interested in it and she took it with gusto. The bumps down her belly are so big that they get hung up on my fingers as she crawls over them. Is she gravid or am I just going insane? :headbang:

I'm hoping for the lock but it's taking forever for her to drop the eggs, whether they're fertile (hoping) or not. The bumps are pretty big but they're still quite a distance from her vent yet.

I had a female go 19 days last year after her shed. And another that "reabsorbed" after her pre lay shed (huge disappointment but all part of the deal I guess). The variation in length of time can be quite long.
Hopefully she lays a good clutch of fertile eggs for you!

19 days must have been torture! I know I'm losing it and it's now day 16 haha She seems to be moving around today so hopefully soon I'll get an answer as to what's going on
