Hi all

I have just checked the date when i first bought my cornsnake and he was a few months older than i thought he is now about 8-9 months old and is about 21 inches long.

I was feeding him a fuzzy say every 6 days and then i noticed the feeding chart on here so i thought that was cool and weighed him.He weighs 76 grams which acording to the chart means he should be on hoppers now i have asked over here in the uk and the step up is fuzzies and then small mice (is that what hoppers are).My main question is should he be on small mice at that weight or should i maybe try him on 2 fuzzies it's just he seems so thin to be on mice already.I have attached a few pics below.

And also is 76grams ok for about an 8-9 month old or should he be heavier or fatter than that?

Thanks for the help all.

Your best bet would be just to buy a few of the "small mice" and see how big they are (and how much they weigh). I don't really trust pet stores to name the sizes correctly so I actually just bring my scale with me when I buy mice so I know for sure that I am getting the right size. The feeding chart you looked at "Dean's Chart" should also have the weights of the mice so that is better to go by than the name. Every snake is different when it comes to size and age so there is no way of saying for sure, but I think yours looks very healthy. I just weighed and measured my snake and he is also about 21 inches however mine is way behind yours at only 36 grams. Hope that helps ;)
