Amelanistic, Anerythristic, Lavender combos

MS-D

New member
Hello. I am new to this forum. I am interested in how Amelanistic, Anerythristic, and Lavender combine. My understanding is that Amelanistic and Anerythristic make Snow and that Amelanistic and Lavender make Opal and I have seen photos of these. What I am interested in finding out is what the other two combinations are called when they are displayed and what they look like: Anerythristic and Lavender; also Amelanistic and Anerythristic and Lavender. (I understand about heterozygotes and genetic ratios.) Thanks for your help!

OK, it's been a few hours with no reply, so I'll have a go at answering with the help of the Progeny Predictor and others can correct me if necesssary!

1) Amel x Anery/Amel x Lavender
Just to clarify (and get it straight in my own mind), if you cross Amel with Anery, then the resulting hatchlings will all be Normals with hets for Amel and Anery. If you then cross the resulting siblings (Normal het Amel/Anery x Normal het Amel/Anery), then statistically, 6.25% of the second generation will be Snows. It's the same scenario for Amel x Lavender; it's the second generation that will contain Opals, again, a 6.25% likelihood, amongst Normals, Lavs & Amels with sundry hets.

2) Anery x Lavender
This combination will produce all Normal-looking hatchlings with hets for Anery & Lavender. You'd call them Normals and quote those hets. Even breeding the hatchlings together when mature, will still produce 100% Normal-looking hatchlings, with the majority carrying Anery and/or Lavender hets.

3) Amel x Anery het Lavender (have I understood the question?)
Again, this combination will produce all Normal-looking hatchlings. Statistically, 50% of them would have hets for Anery & Amel and 50% would have hets for Anery, Amel and Lavender.

As far as I can tell, crossing Amels, Anerys & Lavenders in any combination won't give you new and interesting morphs - the first generation will always be Normals.
