American Rodent Supply vs. Rodent Pro

So David showed me the website for American Rodent Supply based out of Indiana. We've used Rodent Pro the past two times we ordered (we usually have to order every 8 months or so) and the total usually works out to around $500. I'm in need of larger rats now with the burm, so I was expecting that to go up, and the online quote from Rodent Pro, with shipping, was $578.83.

American Rodent Supply, on the other hand, for the same number of rodents, was $468.00 with a $10 box fee, but (allegedly) free shipping to my state....

What's the deal with that? Do they really do free shipping? Are their rodents high quality?

The same people that run ARS also run ARS cages and the Indy show. The only problem I had with them was inconsistent sizes. I get the same with Rodent Pro at times too but they have credited me those. This is not to say ARS wouldn't have I just never asked.

I just got off the phone with Brian (I think that was his name) are ARS. He said that yes, they do offer free shipping, so I think Tara and I will be trying this company for our next order. The free shipping can save us quite a bit of money-- I can deal with slightly inconsistent sizes for that.

Inconsistent sizes and the occasional "I'm not hungry" snake it why I suggest everyone has a garbage gut that can handle all sizes of rodents. :p

I've ordered from Brian a few times with no issues that I can remember, and he was a nice guy on the phone too :*)

I order from american rodent often. I've never had a problem with them. The sizes do vary sometimes, but corns never seem to mind a second mouse if the first is a little small! You deffinately can't beat the free shipping, that alone will save you $50+
