We're trying to figure something out here and would like some "expert" opinions.
We bred a "blizzard" male to an amel female. We were expecting all amels, but knew there was an off chance that we might get something random (background genetics were unknown). We ended up with about 50% amels and 50% snows (so far...there's still 5 or 6 more still to hatch). Obviously both parents had to have anery for that to happen. So, the female must be amel het anery and the male is either blizzard het anery or is homo anery and blizzard. The percentages of the babies make us wonder if the male is in fact an anery blizzard (not sure there's a name for that)...I know there's Powder and Quartz, but both of those have a 4th gene as well.
We're trying to find someone that can positively id our male from the picture or at least give us a better inclination as to whether there is a way to tell (without breeding him again) if he's homo or het anery.
Thanks ahead of time!
