I think this amel is an amelblood . I saw yesterday that fire is a name for Amelanistic Bloodred . Hope I'm right :grin01: :grin01:

Wow, they are both great. I like how much white that amel blood has right now. should be interesting. And I agree about that anery, its such a shame when the brown, yellow, and grey up

That is a darling little anery too. I agree, it'd be great if they stayed that way. Funny how some of the coolest looking hatclings don't mature well, some of the ugliest hatchlings turn out beautiful - like butters. :shrugs:

That is an exceptional Anery!

That would be the perfect Anery if you ask me. Solid black blotches on a silver background color. I believe it is possible. I have always liked the silver and black due to a certain sports team that I like and have held back a few that looked nice as hatchlings. I haven’t really been too serious about it, but I think it is possible.

Here are a couple of females that turned out close to silver and black, but they are both frosted for some reason. They are not related in any way except they are both Anerys.

I had a nice silvery female who retained black and silver as an adult, but all of her anery kids turned brown within the first year.

It would be cool to see a thread dedicated to pics of no-brown anerys.

I had a nice silvery female who retained black and silver as an adult, but all of her anery kids turned brown within the first year.

Same here all anreys from her have turned brown a few sheds after hatching. Connie has a theory that it is only the females that can retain the "Perfect look" .

That is the desired look of my first and only (so far) selective breeding project. A sort of Miami Anery. I am going to use this girl (that I found in a pet store ) and some Miami's. I'm going to be holding back quite a few babies for this project, since I won't really know until they are adults if I've achieved the desired look.

Here's mine, hopefully I can keep the dark black over the generations and make some really nice granites, but I'd love to get some super dark anerys as a by-product!

I know her head is totally out of focus, but it's the only picture I can find right now that shows her whole body.

It seems as if the Ladies have the edge when it comes to the “perfect” Anery. This may be a little more evidence that the males do tend to have more pink, which seems to cause the brown colorations in males. If they have a lot of pink, they are very nice, but just a little, muddies the water so to speak.

I found this “female” of course in an old 2004 file. She was out of a Het Lav Snow Motley X Same breeding.
