Another newbie

Hi,
I've been spending the past few weeks doing my research, joining this forum, and am almost ready to get my first snake. Up until now, my animal family has been cats, dogs, chinchillas, and an iguana, though I did get some snake handling when I worked at a school. The science teacher let me take the snakes down to the first grade to show the kids.

I want to thank everyone here in advance, I've already learned a lot, and expect to get a lot of help from all the posts.

I'm planning to get a corn snake at the Anaheim show in September, but I haven't decided what color/morph. Just whoever attracts me, and my husband, on the day I guess.

She's home

Well, I picked up my new baby last Saturday. She's an Okeetee, a little under a year old, so maybe not quite a baby, except to me. And she's proving that not all common knowledge is right. It appears that I've gotten an arboreal cornsnake. She really doesn't like the floor of her enclosure. She prefers the branches and plants. Her favorite spots are in the pothos plant, or under it.

I guess now it's time to go to the photo thread and learn how to take great pictures, but until then, here's a couple to look at.
