My Kids and I got ourselves a baby ghost corn snake for Christmas. He just had his fist shed with us and the kids are still entranced with watching him eat. We hold him frequently and he is becoming very calm and used to being handled. We've had him for a month now and he even likes kisses:) His name is Pretzel because of the way he twists his way around our fingers and hands while being hands. CThe kids are only 8 and 9 and are very gentle and calm with him.

Welcome to the forums!

My son is 8 1/2--we also got a young corn snake during Christmas. We're really enjoying ours. (Although Saul just told me that I'd better get my own snake soon, as I'm spending too much time with his. Erm, yeah. He caught me on that one.)

Welcome again and have a good time!

Welcome Aboard!!

My 2 1/2 year old daughter picked out "her" corn snake as her Christmas Pet and we have enjoyed having it ever since. She isn't really keen on the whole "eating baby mice" thing, but she realizes it's either the mouse dies or Sammi Snake dies, so she understands it's part of life...

Anyhow, hope you enjoy the forums here. This place is abslutely chock-full of extremely knowledgable people who are always willing to help.

Check out the link in my signature if you have questions about general care and keeping of corn snakes. It is extremely helpful.

Welcome to the forum! If you have any questions or you are unsure about things just ask.

BTW: I wouldnt suggest kissing your corn, it is to be said that a vast majority of snakes carry Salmaninlla. Wash your hands when your done handling.

:) I wish my parents let me have a snake when I was their age. :p

Just for clarification's sake, the link in my signature is not "mine". It has been compiled and provided by the forum. I just found it exceptionally helpful with all of my worries and questions, and still refer to it first, and so I thought I would share it with a direct link...
