Hello,
Hi to everyone. I am new to corns. I already had a BP named Mattie when I heard about this girl having a 4foot corn she needed to get rid of ASAP. I set up a tank and now we have "Butterscotch". I have totally fallen in love with her. This poor girl was on cinders, no thermometers and no hides, plus just an illuminating fish light to keep her warm. When I first picked her up, she was Ice cold. So I brought her home and for 3 days we didn't see her. (She is now on Aspen with 2 hides, UTH and a red light, vines and thermo's and hygrometers on each side.) She was warming up from being cold for so long, I think. Luckily, she is very hardy, no RI or anything. I was told she had only shed 1 time in 9 months. Now is she is getting ready to shed with the proper care and humidity. We have only had her a little over a week, but I did alot of searching and learning on how to care for a corn before I took her in since she was a rescue of sorts. But she seems to be thriving now, other than not coming out much right now. But, if they are anything like BP's, we don't see him for a week or more when he is about to shed, so that's my guess.
Anyways, I really hope to kind of pick everyone's brain and learn more about corns. I will try not to ask stupid questions that have already been asked and that I can already find here on another post.
Last, a little about me- I am married to my hubby who is not so happy about our slithering members of the family-but dealing nicely, my 2 boys that are totally in love with our snakes and our 5 dogs and 2 horses. I live in AZ and don't have many people in my area that have snakes, so I come to you hoping for help with questions. Thanks again
