Hey there,

I've been on this site a while now and got to know a few people pretty good (and for those of you new to this site, some of the people here are an EXCELLENT source of information, listen well!) but it just struck me the other day that I've absolutely no idea where most of you are :)

It's been tough finding people around my area who are as into herps as I am, so I was just wondering if anybody here was in/near the Sarasota/Bradenton area?

Maybe we could all get together to put in orders and save on shipping (of both reptiles & food), or just go for a beer and a chat...

So yeah, if you live around the Sarasota/Bradenton area, just reply to this thread or drop me an E-Mail.

Hey Axe,
Well I'm not exactly around the corner, but I'm not to far. I'm directly across the state from you. I think it's about 4 hours drive time. I get over that way a couple times a year, I never know when, but I'll keep in touch.

Sounds cool. I've been thinking about setting up a section on my site for Florida herpers... There's a Florida forum on my site, although it's pretty quiet (but there's time for it to grow, heh).

I'm thinking a map of FL could come in handy, marking off where everybody's from. Will help each other figure out where everybody is :)

Well, I'm closer than Matt, but far enough away to make going out for a beer and a chat (although a GREAT idea) a little difficult. I'd have to find a baby-sitter and would have to drag the husband along. However, if you're ever up my way, let me know. I'm 6 miles north of Weeki Wachee, home of the mermaids.

ooh! ooh! I feel some bonding here.

I wouldn't hesitate to meet with several people for a herp talk and a cold beer. There are not to many here in Ft.Pierce to share my experiences with. I do wholesale my hatchlings--but for me, this is still a hobby.
