I have a baby corn who is constantly refusing meals. He is eating roughly every 4 weeks. Temps are fine, same conditions as my yearling who would eat every other day if I let him. I have tried puttig him in a small container with the pinky and this just pi$$e$ him off, he strikes at me when I let him out the next day. I have tried piercing the head (even cutting it off and offering just the head). I have tried Geko scent and even tease feeding. Nothing seems to work but as I said after about 4-5 weeks he eventually takes a meal. Can anyone suggest a technique I may have missed or has anyone had a similar experience. It seems he is eating enough to keep him self alive but I worry about his long term health. He is nearly 3 months now and has hardly grown, he has only shed twice since birth.

Do you wash the pinkies? I find that my snake is MUCH more willing to take food when I've washed them. (See the Ivory soap thread, but I use whatever's there and it works fine.) Before I started washing them it would take her 2 hours, if she ate at all, but now it's 2 seconds!

I mean, some of the pinkies from my pet store have poop all over them... I wouldn't want to eat them either!

I also brain my pinkies too, just to make sure she gets the idea.

Good luck!
