Any way to figure age?????

Hey guys! Does any one know of a way to "guesstimate" the age of a corn?
My only clues are as follows:

* Ren shed first month I got him (June) and again this month.
* S/he's about three feet long plus.
* At thickest point his/her diameter is larger than a quarter...maybe close to a half dollar.

Anyone who could give me any input is thanked in advance!

The problem with figuring age is that adulthood in corns is determined by their size and not chronological age. I saw an 02 corn a couple weeks ago that was quite bit smaller than our yearlings. I've also read in the Corn Snake Manual, that with the right amount of power feeding, you can get a hatchling to breeding size in only one year. It's my understanding that in most cases adulthood is achieved in an average of two years with normal feeding patterns.

Hey there! Thanks to both of you for the info.
When I bought this snake I was told s/he was actually too young to sex (don't know if that was true or not) but s/he wasn't a tiny little thing when I got him/her...close to three feet. I was told to feed at least once a week or after every defecation if I preferred. I feed a mouse a week (on one occasion I fed 2 consecutively because snake seems to be looking for more after every feeding but I don't want him/her overweight). I believe I remember reading in a post somewhere on this site that a corn under the age of 18 months will generally shed once a month. This appears to be the pattern with my corn. I guess there is no way to determine chronological age accurately? I'm not trying to get this snake to a breeding age or anything...just trying to figure out approx. DOB...I highly doubt that s/he's over 2 years. Are there any behavior paterns that may clue me in on age? Thanks once again!
