P.S.____my dad always makes that face when he catches a nice fish....(he think he's cool with those shades on too. LOL :shrugs:

This might be the only thing we agree with and have in common.

This, obviously, is a striped bass. Caught two years ago in the CT River. 41", 25.5lbs. Biggest to date, but supposedly the run is starting off awesome this year so we'll see.

joe nice fish...i should see some real nice fish in your collection being your from florida. up here i just dont see it as much fun as down there. i just dont get to see our house down there as much as i would like. bass and blue fishing is fun up here when the season hits, but other than that i would always prefer the florida waters. thanks for sharing.!!!!!great fish

P.S. if that's the only thing we have in common (other than corn love as well) that is cool. can't have the same views as everyone in the world right? as long as theres some common ground there it's all good. take care

I hear ya. You're pretty limited up there as far as what to fish for, freshwater or salt. Blues are nice for the fight, but other than that--blah. They are some of the nastiest tasting fish I've ever eaten. I will say that last summer was pretty fun, even though the striped bass fishing sucked. My dad and I did really well on the CT river for bass--same with lake fishing.

We caught plenty of nice largemouth and a few nice smallies in the river, and I nabbed a decent sized pike (~28"). I about had a heart attack when the thing hit the bass assassin---blew it right out of the water. Tossed in a nice big fiesty shiner and it was all over for the pike. Nice fight, too.

Being in Tallahassee and not having a boat really kills fishing. There's not nearly as many piers around here as I'd like. Sad to say, my saltwater collection of fishing pictures is pretty poor.

I've bagged a few dorado, some king macks, some spanish macks, nice pompano, a decent sized gag (20lbs)---but that's pretty much it.

Summers in CT are pretty fun as far as the fishing goes. I'll be up there Thursday so hopefully over the next month or so I'll have some pictures to show off.

Nice fish Tom. Looks like Dad's got the Hemmingway look down pretty good!

yeah, there is actually a hemingway lookalike contest down there that we are prepping him for. we keep trying to give him more grey hairs...and i must say, us kids do a great job at that.!!!

Just got back from a trip out on the "left coast".

Our boat limited on black bass and a few cabazon, oh, a couple nice ling cod. No pics though, I was busy fishin'. There were a few cameras floating around, I might be able to post some later.

I also like flyfishing for trout and drift fishing for salmon/steelhead. We've got quite a few small lakes and ponds around that hold some nice trout too.

I've always wanted to fish for mahi-mahi also known to me as dorado.

clint that sounds great. the last time i went fishing in fresh water was fly fishing for trout. i have always wanted to go salmon fishing. my pops and i wanted to go to alaska on a package salmon trip. quite expensive though so i am not sure if that wish will ever come true. fingers are crossed though.

I can't seem to get away to do any fishing. I went once last year and ended up cutting it short when I received a phone call. Yet I have had my fishing license for a few months already this year.

Managed some nice spotted trout and a couple of sharks around Honeymoon island this weekend. Just had the trout for supper.

you lucky bunch!!!
over here in the uk were fishing for dogfish and mackeral lol! but then i have a five minute walk to the water(portlands like a little island lol) and me an my dad are always fishing after work!

Here's a pair of largemouth bass, neither any bigger than 12", I caught and released in late Oct. last year on Lake Marburg right outside of town...
