i only caught a few of those that were real tiny when i was a little kid.

nice catch....Fish Fry Anyone?

lol nice...they are weird fish
I used to go deep sea fishing when I lived in florida...biggest I ever caught were a 21 and 22 lb amberjack...my dad had to reel in the 21 lb one though since I was 10

tom

Yes, they are fun to catch and yes, they put up a good fight.
And slimefish is a good moniker. That thing slimed me and the boat with a vengeance.
By the way...it was a Blue Catfish for those not sure.

Tried a little fishing yesterday. Well we found out why the fish weren't biting. :eek1:

Went out this past weekend and slammed into about an 8 foot nurse shark. I was using 25lb test, 6oz egg sinker, and a medium heavy rod. The poor rod got the workout of it's life, bent into a U for about 20 minutes. I've never been so tired after catching a fish, ever. All I wanted to do was lay down and have a nice cold drink.

Sorry for the crappy picture---the g/f was using a camera phone and you really can't see that well.

Couldn't resist

I couldn't resist adding to this thread and showing off my pics.
The first is a cobia, and the other a nice Jack I caught killing time in between the bull reds. I caught both of these in Texas. My favorite fishing is wade fishing for snook in the Spring in Florida. I loved seeing all the fish pics!
