Anyone from Portland, Oregon?

I'm going to be visiting Portland for 2 full days (and 1 half day) this summer and I was just wondering if there was any specific place I shouldn't miss visiting.

I'm already planning on going to the Japanese and Chinese Gardens. Any other suggestions?

One thing I ought to mention is I'll be relying on my own 2 feet and public transportation to get around, so please don't suggest long drives to a beach or mountain, b/c although it would be fun, I can't do it.

Thanks.

I'm not from Portland but just south of there in a small town. I don't get up into the BIG city very often (by choice). Some places of interest are the Portland Zoo, Waterfront Park and Omsi (it's a science center). I'm sure public transit can get you to those places easily.

I just don't like the hussle and bustle of big cities. There's one stop light in the middle of my town and that suits me just fine. ;)
