Any carpet pythons..?
I'm interested in jungle carpet pythons and Irian Jaya carpet pythons.

Just wondering how you did with them..? :)

Oh
I didn't see this tread until now.

Yeah I had a couple of Jungle Carpets and Irian Jayas before.

They're not hard snakes. Very nice but sometimes tempermental if you ask me (or at least mind were)

A lot nippier than corn snakes.
Their size are also a bit larger (around 6 feet for Jungles) Irian Jayas are a bit smaller.

If you want more information, send me an email~

Jungles and coastals here. Like Simon said bigger than corns. One of my females was a little aggressive as she got older. Her daughter has been aggressive since day one. Her she is:

i agree with all the responses in terms of temprament....i have had to physically remove some jungle carpets from arms!!! LOL

I also would agree about them being aggresive. I kept a pair of arian jayas for a year a they seemed to like the tast of my fingers.

here's my jcp and coastal. The coastal is a rescued adult male, he isn't very friendly. The female is a high yellow from Inland Empire, and has not bit me yet.

Wow, those are all vary beautiful pictures. I am in love with the jungle carpets yellow and black patterns. And the silver eyes are mezmerizing!

But I don't like the sounds of their attitudes. I expect nippieness as hatchlings and all but I was really hoping with handling as babies they would grow to be docile and relaxed. Maybe some do... I will have to research that some more.

Anyway, thanks for all the replys and pictures

They are really gorgeous snakes. A friend of mine had a 5 footer that would tag him every time he took him out. He had to wear gloves up to his elbows. But yet, he was terrified of mice! Go figure? He bought him and the breeder said he was eating live, but he would never go near one. He eventually got it converted to f/t.

Humm, yes very beautiful snakes. But more and more it's sounding like they are look don't touch snakes.. unless you wanna get bit....

I've read anywhere from 4 to 7 feet.. Im guessing its more like 5 to 7..

Im really thinking about getting one. . .I think I'll have to wait a few years though.. Til Im making money, LOL and out of my parents house.. :p
