Are 2 clips enough?

I would find tape incredibly inconvenient too, in addition to being dangerous to the snake. I got my clips for $2 or $3 at PetCo for a 2 count package, which is pretty cheap to protect your snake from getting lost out of its cage. If you can't afford the clips... should you really be caring for the snake?? :shrugs:

Critter Cages

does anyone have one of those glass tanks with the sliding screen lids? Looks like a lock can be placed on them too. Are they any good(escape proof)? I'm going to buy a 20 long eventually and was wondering if they are worth the money.

We use "Critter Cage" from all-glass here. ( http://all-glass.com/ ) They are kinda pricey, but there's cut-outs in the plastic framing for wires and the such. Maybe a very small snake could get out via those wire-runs, assuming there was something to allow it to climb that high on that side AND that you had something too fat already running through holding it open.

I have a 15gal and a 40gal. [Darwin got an upgrade for Holiday]. the lids are identical, and clip in just fine without needing a lock. If the clips wear out, the lock-hole is pretty small [luggage lock, perhaps?], but just pinning it would do the trick.

I could post pictures of the works of the lid if you don't have a pet-shop nearby that will let you play with one.
