Hey, just wondering if the T-rex "dome home" Hides are safe to use with corn snakes. They look like they're made from coconut. Pic Related.

Yes, they are fine. As long as the snake has no way to get stuck in one (hide) it should be fine. Depending on your ""looks "" you can use food boxes, cereal or such . Tuffaware or make clay one too. I've seen flower pots use too!!

Just got a corn and was using a couple glad containers on each side as hides. Wanted something w/ a little more security. I picked up two of these small hides today. Left the glad containers in there too also. Since she'll just a baby she'll be happy with lots of clutter in her tank to hid in and around.

Yes, corns will like tight spaces/hides and the size of them will incresse.

I was just throwing ideas out to save on some $$$. The cost of hides can get costly. You can go to craft stores too for hides but mainly fake vines and such to add a feeling of security for the snake too. Pets stores sell them but..again $$

Yea, I got the smallest ones I could. They were 3.50 a pop so I said why not. Cheapest hides I've ever bought. Hides for my BP cost a ton.

Dollar General is where I get my vines and stuff. There is another pet store around here with CHEAP plants. The ones that have that rock type base you bury down in the substrate. Only like 2 bucks for some big ones. Didn't have the money right now for it though.

Had to buy more aspen and the 2 hides and I got my BP a HUGE water bowl and gave my new corn her old one.

I LOVE these water bowl/hides. Pic Related. My BP "Donut" on her new water bowl/hide.
