aspen moss?

No I have never tried this or seen it before. From the link it might be too hard and stringy but thats just a guess. Whats the price of it?? I pick up a large bag of aspen (4 cubic feet) a good year ago for $11 plus from Petsmart. And I still have alot left. So this might be the route to go.

Excelsior i shreaded wood. It used to be used for a packing material like plastic peanuts are used now. It is also used in swamp coolers. It probably would be fine for a snake but I would think you could find regular shreaded aspen for much cheaper.

I don't have a good local source of aspen shavings where I live. I found I can order them on line from Petsmart in 4 cubic foot bags for $12 per bag. If you buy 5 bags or more at a time the shipping is free. That is much cheaper than I can get from my local pet shop.

I can't remember the exact price, but I know it was under $2 a bag. I probably should clarify, I was planning on using this in the humid hide. I do use regular aspen for bedding, but this "moss" is very fine and looks more like spanish moss.
