aspen snake bedding vs other aspen

At Petco, the 8qt bag of shredded snake aspen is 9 bucks. the 4cu. ft. bag of aspen shavings in the rodent section is only 13 bucks. and all my snakes burrow in it just fine. It's a little dustier, but not as dusty as Reptibark.

Ha.. I go to the local Co-Op store and by Aspen Horse Bedding that is the same for a 6 cu ft bag for $4.

right now i am using coconut bark, i started using it because i thought it looked nice, but now that im getting a bigger tank (thanks to jim) i think im going to switch to aspen bedding. :)

This is what we use. It is a very nice laboratory grade aspen. It is virtually dust free and very easy to spot clean. Almost like scoopable cat litter. It is shredded to a nice consistency that is not too fine. The snakes don't seem to mind making tunnels in it. We get it from a somewhat local distributor, about an hour away, and at $10 for a 35 pound bag I can't go wrong.
