i cant help but think they dont look very pewtery they look like the photos of anery a bloods, having said that i expect they are quite young ? hence they dont have a full blood red pattern yet still very nice snakes there pip

Well, here's a young anery A blood:

The heads of those guys look very charcoal-ly to me. They look to me like they are going to be on the lighter end of pewters, but they change so much that who knows.

Here's a pic of a darker pewter as a hatchling:
(From a while back when I had a crappy camera, LOL)

Here she is now:

The flash gives her more lightness than she really possesses. To the naked eye, she almost looks like a black rat. On the other hand, we have a pewter who is at the opposite end of the spectrum from her.

Also a not so great pic, but here is part of him with a loop of the dark pewter thrown in for contrast:

very nice pewters

my two one is deff darker than the other,
i think one will be lighter and the other very dark,

Marcel,

Hey man
good luck with the pair.
I hope that you'll be able to get some pewter hatchlings yourself this year!!

Good luck!

All i can say is good luck pip :) your'll beat me easy to breeding a pewter i think with my current stock it will be 6 years lol and a lot of luck might just have to have one of yours when they get here :)

Nice . . .

The markings were so distinct on the first image you showed us, I had to see the belly. Very nice. I love the difference in the colors of the two. I don't see too many of the dark ones around here.

Great snakes.

Don

I thought the same thing Don, that first pic shows an amazing amount of pattern to have such a clear ventral.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for my Bloodred het charcoal and amel X Charcoal het Blood and amel..... it's thier first year!
