So, I got my BRB about a month ago and FINALLY came up with a name for her. Shortly after getting her, she shed and has taken a few meals for me! YAY! She came with a lovely gift of mites, but that was taken care of. Anyways, on to pictures!! She (not positive of her gender, but I decree she's gonna be called a she until confirmed one or the other) is such a pretty snake. My absolute favourite out of my collection.

Beautiful snake! I love BRB's. I'll probably never have one myself, but sure do love to live vicariously through you all on here with them...lol
Thanks for sharing her with us.

More pictures! :)

Heh, I had my eye on her for a good few months before finally giving in and buying her! I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, she was fed live at the shop, but has switched quite nicely over to frozen thawed *WOOT!* And she's been pretty tame. Struck at me once the first day, and has been completely fine since then :)

She is gorgeous! I don't pick favorites, but there are "certain" very special snakes to me, my BRB being one *cough* (not a favorite though :)). Yours is looking amazing, and very colorful. Congrats on the switch to F/T, and de-miting her. Good luck the rest of the way, they are very amazing creatures.

She came with a lovely gift of mites, but that was taken care of.

Check, recheck and double check.
As with any snake, especially boas, you shouldn't keep your new arrival anywhere near your established collection and make sure to eradicate the presence of mites.
Though not likely, you can never know if your Boa is, God forbid, carrier of IBD...
Not trying to spread panic, just making you aware of the risk mites pose with their ability to spread it- that's the currently believed method for spreading of IBD...

Beautiful Boa!

I am checking, over and over, and re-treating, mostly as preventative. She was in my room with the other snakes for only a day or so before I realized. Now she's downstairs by herself. All my other snakes have been switched to paper towels and treated with Nix as a just-in-case.

Thanks for the info :)

I love her name! It's very suiting!

Those are definitely on my list of "someday" snakes....they are stunning and would look fabulous in a large jungle-themed vivarium. :)

She's beautiful!!! Congrats! The name suits her too!

I almost bought one once... but backed off at the last minute (like standing there with the money in my pocket looking at it... then walked away). Perhaps sometime in the future... as I mentioned in someone else's thread... "What's the hurry?". LOL.

While I was looking at her one day, the lady asks me if I want her, I'm like "YESS, but she's 330, I've only got like 250". So she's like "Well, you've also got hatchlings... I buy out of egg hatchlings for $15 each, give me 6 and I'll drop the price to 230." It was a done deal then :)

Mom's agreed to let me get a big, nice display viv that I can set up in the living room cause everyone can see her then! It's funny, cause she's making her boyfriend keep his "ugly" jungle carpet pythons in the bedroom, but my boa gets space in the already crowded living room :p
