AWESOME looking hide :D

I got the bright idea to make a new hide for my snake im getting instead of spending alot of money on one. So I went to my local dollar tree and bought a popcorn bowl along with 4 bags of rocks (I only used 3) The hide only cost me 4 dollars total and this is what the finished product looks like.

I will also add the rocks make the hide pretty heavy but I LOVE the way it looks finished.

What product did you use to adhere the rocks to the bowl?

I indeed used a hot glue gun. Thanks I had alot of fun making it as well

And I thought my idea of using hot glue to stick old ceramic tiles together into a hide was creative....
I love it. I may be doing that in the future as my animals grow.

Is the glue "snake safe"? Sounds kinda toxic to keep around.

It is ok to use around them. I use it in all my cages and also with my turtles.

I love the textures the rocks give to the hide. It would looks so natural on a nice bedding! I would love to see more ideas!

Zelos gives his tongue-flick of approval. Which is good cause I spent a little over 2 hours gluing on the damn rocks, haha! It is a little huge for him now but I made it to last til he is big

Glad to see my idea get used by someone else it does take FOREVER to glue the rocks on but u have to admit its so worth it

Great idea!! I've actually seen something similar for use in fish tanks, except for instead for using hot glue and river rocks, they used silicone and aquarium gravel.

Hot glue and additive free silicone are both safe to use for decorations around reptiles and aquatic creatures. Hot glue is safe as soon as it is cool. Silicone needs to cure, if you can smell it, it's not ready yet
