Baby Ball Pythons!

Lolo

Surrounded by snakes
My one clutch (ball pythons) of the year is finally hatching, and boy are they taking their time! The first one slithered out on Thursday, the second one tonight, and the other 3 are still thinking about it... I'm going crazy with impatience, so thought I'd post some photos to pass the time. Here are the first two who've emerged - a little 52g normal female (pretty sure), and a 56g Mojave I haven't popped yet. Ain't they cute? :)

P.S. The snake in my current avatar is their momma... the normal baby looks JUST like her!

#3 just came out, and she's a beauty! Super light-colored Mojave, with a really funky neck pattern... I think I might keep her. ;)

It's funky looking on both sides...

And that makes 3!

They are all gorgeous! I want one! :D

Well, if you lived closer... ;)

Thanks all for the comments! I agree the second Mojave is the prettiest, and she'll probably stay here with me - that neck pattern is just wicked, and her coloring is SO nice & faded. The fourth baby came out this morning, and it's a VERY dark normal male... super feisty too! I'll post pictures of him in a minute.

Okay, here he is... confirmed male (showed me his hemipenes - and peed all over me, LOL), 54g, and MUCH darker than his normal sibling. He's also a feisty one, and I have a feeling he'll be the first to tag me.

All four... check out the difference between the normals! Split clutch, perhaps? :shrugs:

Awesome mojaves!!! Thats last male almost looks like a black back to me...mayb its just the pic, but awesome either way.

Thanks! And yes, the dark one does have a little "black back" going on - I swear, he looks WAY too much like (a normal version of) my black pastel. Very suspicious, I tell ya.

P.S. Here's the "boobie egg" baby, still teasing me from inside... I can already tell he's TINY, probably half the size of a normal BP hatchling. Also thought he had a fluid-y eye, but upon closer inspection it appears to be normal - just looks big in comparison to his teeny head, LOL.
