baby house geckos :)

lovin' my sweet corns
a bad & good thing happened--when we pulled the tarp out of the shed a few weeks ago a bunch of house gecko eggs fell on the ground,so apparently that's where they had been laying their eggs. some of them smashed 'cuz they are more like bird eggs than snake eggs :awcrap: but we were able to find 6 that were still ok,I didn't know if they would hatch, but figured I'd try to incubate them---so the good news is that I have been candling them with a small flashlight, all of them are developing & have movement & as of today 2 have hatched! we are not keeping them,so we're letting them go. The geckos live in our shed, and anoles live around our house in the garden. I'm very happy that learning how to incubate snakes let us help these guys too.
this is a pic of the 2nd baby-they are very fast but it let me get a quick pic :)

Very cute! My mom and step dad live in San Antonio and have house geckos in and around their house and anoles outside. Makes me very jealous!

wait.. so these little guys are actually found INSIDE people homes?! O_O

or just sheds, and around the house??? still, I have never heard of these little Cuties!
all I find in my house are creepy spiders, I wish its was warm enough for those little guys to live here.. we would probaly have less spiders. :( lol

Everyone in S. Fla. has a gecko or two around the house, Justine! ...at least, if your lucky, cuz we have lots of bugs down here too!!!!

wow.. I mean I guess it makes total sense, where their are mice, you can find snakes!
and I guess where their are buggies you find lizards! its just too darn cold here for any lizards.. atleast geckos. lol and you sure wont find any near your home! usually their hidden away from people in forests.. :(
