Baby lost, then found

snakemom1961

Spring is here!
So tonite, my girls and I were watching a movie they had gotten for Christmas. Living free(yes I got them both Born Free, and Living Free).
I had gone into the bathroom earlier tonite and saw our cat just sitting there
on the floor. Was thinkin "oh cyrus is such a silly cat, sitting on the bathroom floor by hisself". Anyway, after the movie, my daughter rachel was in there, and called me. She said "um mom?, could you come here a sec, the baby snake is in here". I said "WHAT?????".

I had just fed both the baby and Tiaga yesterday, I keep bungie cords on the baby's cage so he won't escape(yeah right!)

Anyway, there was an empty toilet paper roll on the floor next to the toilet, and I'm guessing that's where he was earlier when I was in there and Cyrus was just sitting there waiting for him to come out. Well when Rachel was in there apparently the baby HAD come out of the tube and Cyrus decided to start playing with it and bat it around a bit. Rachel didn't know what he was doing and was thinkin he was just being silly as he usually is. She then looked down to find the baby.

I had NO IDEA how it got out, But her twin sister went and looked and sure enough, just a very small part of the top had not been put on completely, and that little bugger found the opening and made his escape!. LOL

Anyway, atleast we had a happy ending to our little escaped artist.!

Haha..That's funny..
If any of my snakes got out my cats would go CRAZY!
They seriously just sit there and stare at my snakes for hours..It looks as if they're hypnotized...Haha

Cyrus is a silly one for sure. ONe time about a year ago, one of the mice escaped because my girls forgot to put the lid back on the cage. Well they ran to the video store and I was here alone. I noticed Cyrus moving around the room in a different way then normal. All of a sudden I look and see THERE'S A FRIGGIN MOUSE! I'm deathly afraid of mice, and I'm sitting here picking my feet up off the floor saying "oh Cy, oh Cy, PLEASE don't kill it, just hold it in one place till the girls get home"(like he could care less WHAT I was saying). Anyway, sure enough he got that sucker cornered and put a paw on it's tail and held it there for like 10 minutes till my daughters got home. They walked in and they could tell by my voice and what I was saying SOMETHING was wrong. When I told them that Cyrus had a mouse by the tail, they looked and started LAUGHING at me and how Cy had taken care of the situation. Needless to say I told them IF that ever happened again, there would be NO MORE MICE!!!!!!!.....lol

We have a new breeding colony of 3 mice, so needless to say it hasn't happened again.!

Awww, glad he's alright.
My cat is little killing machine. She's go for any of my snakes if she got the chance.
