I was up late reading and saw that Isis was out wandering her viv. My feet were propped up on the shelf with the viv. Her nose was just an inch from the glass, and I think I must have moved my foot or something and spooked her.
If it was a species with legs, I would call it a jump. The front 2/3 of her body flew backwards off the ground like she had been yanked up on a leash. She arced through the air in a weird S shape before thumping against the back wall of the viv, where she coiled into the tiniest ball with her head poking out of the center.
I didn't mean to spook her, but that was the wildest and most hilarious thing I've seen any snake do. I wish I could have gotten it on video. :laugh01:
Then, just a couple minutes later, she uncoiled and started cruising her viv again like nothing had happened. Crazy snake.
