Hey guys

I havent posted for a little while, i was wondering if you could help me with a prob i think i have? i have 14 eggs at 49 days into incubation the prob is today i inspected them and found that if i give them a gentle sqeeze they feel realy firm like rubber and they are a dull yellowy brown colour, could this be caused by the moss i'm using as incubation medium........

well from the photo, I would say that the eggs are dried up.....to me the substrates look good enough, just that the humidity level seems kind of low. The humidity level should be around 90-100...

Also you said that the eggs are now yellow and hard.....signs of telling you that the eggs.....are gone....

The picture isn't that clear--I wouldn't give up yet. Usually eggs that are yellow are slugs from the start. The moss will dis-color the eggs somewhat. If the eggs made it to 49 days and they are not sunken in or dried up they should hatch. Heres a picture of this years last clutch at 36 days. Notice the one with the dent in it-Time to hydrate them-they are a little dry.

Those eggs appear fine to me. If they are firm to the touch and not all dented in and hardened, they are fine. The discoloration is from the moss you've used as a medium for incubation. Part of the reason I use perlite is o no such discoloration occurs. Just wait it. In another week or two, you should have little snakes pipping!

THANX

THANKS ALOT GUYS.

I dont hold out much hope though as they dont feel the same as the two i had last year, unfortunately i lost the male to this clutsh so its my last chance of getting his ofspring he was a beautifull realy light okeetee,i know you guys are into all different morphs but i am a newby and its hitting me hard to think it may be something i did or didnt do.....

They look fine to me- just a little dry. If they're fifty days old and haven't completely caved in and gone a funny colour then you're in with a very good chance of some babies hatching out within a few weeks.
