Does this mean I don't get a "test" unit ???? I'd offer an unbiased oppinion. :shrugs:

LOL- I'll tell him I need at least two units to do a proper experiment :grin01:

Mary Beth- Thanks for adding a second unbiased opinion to this thread. I was hoping more keepers who actually used these models would post good and bad feedback that I can actually believe.

I bought an Alife thermostat. I had it for a whole MONTH before it would not turn on at all. I'm just very thankfull that it didn't get stuck in ON instead. So I guess, thank you Alife.

Yep. A price must be paid for peace of mind. A set of el cheapo tires will probably get you through a northern winter, but if you care about yourself or your passengers, you'll do the right thing and spend the extra money on better product. I'm glad I spent the extra money on the Helix. Most of my snakes cost a lot more than it did. I doubt that Mary-Beth's experience represents an isolated incident. You get what you pay for.

I wholeheartedly agree. This thread is lengthening to the point where the original argument is getting lost. Nowhere did I say that the more expensive proportional models probably aren't better.

Because of that very fact, I don't feel that it is necessary to use the already mentioned over the top sales methods that Justcage is employing. I also should be able to add my differening results to a thread without being condescended to or insulted. If the supportive feedback, PM's and E-mails I've been getting are any indication, I'm not the only one who feels this way, and mine is not the only business he is losing.

Other than that, it's all good :) The more "impartial" feedback received from other users, the better, even if it differs from my experience. That's what these hobbyist databases are for.
