Hello guys, I just updated molly to a 110ltr tub, is 40 small hair holes enough? They are the thickness of a pen/pencil?

Also she's 2ft long and does not climb, now its summer I was thinking of sometimes leaving her tank lid off while I was in my room watching, for as much fresh air as possible.. Do you think a royal could climb a 2ft side? It's pretty much as high as her whole body so I dought it.. But what do you guys think?

Just to let you know, I had a ball escape that I didn't realize. My herp room is pretty small and is basically Ball proof, they can not get out of the room. But one day I looked up near my Anole cage which is on a top shelf wire rack cage and she was climbing around on it. She was about the size of yours at the time. I just shook my head cause her cage was on the other side of the room and she decided to go for a climb.
So in my eyes, yes they can climb. If you want her to be in an airy setup, have a second cage for her but do not leave the top off. You might space out and walk to the bathroom and bam.. you have a missing snake.

But I keep my balls in tubs as well, I think your snake is actually fine.
 
If the tub is as tall as the snake, its not tall enough.

Unless you have a clip or something to stop the snake from pushing UP, you may want to invest in a bigger tub, or something to prevent it from getting out.

As for the air holes, it depends on your humidity. IF you see condensation on the sides of the tubs, the humidity is too high. In that case, put more holes. If not, and you get bad sheds, your humidity is too low. Plug some of the holes, or put more water (spritz) in the tub.
 
I'd bet good money that she can climb it. My BP climbs fairly often and it is surprising what they can achieve for such heavy snakes. If you do leave the lid off, make sure you supervise her.

Also, we disagree on when summer occurs. :grin01: It is freezing here - we had heavy snowfall just a few days ago!
