Bed-O-Kob

Has anyone tried Bed-O-Kob as a cage substrate? I have heard that it is easy and cost effective to use, however I have also heard negative things about it. Does anyone have any experience using it?

I've never heard of bed-o-cob...is that similar to a corn cob substrate? If so, I wouldn't use it...I think that would dry out the snake or even possibly be too abrasive.

I think it's more designed for use with geckos such as Leos. I think it would be too 'bulky' for use with snakes.

sounds very much liek the substrate i use, although that particular one is called "mazy", and is made from freeze dried corn.
Its dust free, odourless and doesnt seem to bother the snake at all. I don`t find humidity to be a problem within the tank but that may be because i use a second water bowl in the hot end to raise humidity.
I`ve been using it for a year now and i`m happy with it.
