Bedding

Elusive

Totally irrelevent.
I'm curious to know if its safe for my snake if I cut up my own aspen, we cut down some aspen trees because it was just too much work taking care of all the trees in our backyard. We have all these logs that have been laying around in the shed for a while - and I was thinking if it was safe to cut it up into small chips and use it as bedding. Is there any precautions before I do this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Im not an expert, but i think it would be ok if you treated it for bugs first.. you might have you boil the chips or freeze them. That way you get any mites and other small bugs out.

Maybe someone else will chime in and back me up on that?
