So with the stress of everything coming at me (work, studying were the 2 biggies) I kinda disappeared.
As it is I have come back with the news that I shall be getting my first corn snake next month.
Unfortunately the reptile shop my friend worked at had to close down for a number of reasons (health of animals not one of them) and left a whole bunch of reptiles homeless, including a number of hatchlings.
She's offered to bring one down with her, along with it's box and water bowl, when she visits next month and I just need to get the substrate, heat mat and other accessories bought by then... and get the cat trained to be a lover not a killer
I'll be deciding later which of the many to choose so can't update on that yet and she's going to start making sure it feeds and is friendly/fine with being handled (I'll obviously be reimbursing her for snake expenses in the form of money & drink when she comes down).
So yay!! Getting a corn!! (along with the fire bellied toad at some point now big sis is preggers)
