behavior question...

Hey my snow corn snake is confusing me.... I dont know if this is bad but she has been moving around alot.... I just switched up her tank alittle but its still the same and ever since she just roams her tank.. Is she stressed out? I hope not but i dont know if she is just roamin for fun or if she doesnt feel comfortable... Her hiding places, both warm and cool are covered up so she feels secure... Any suggestions?

I have some snakes that I never see out of their hides and others that are always curiously out and about. If you've got one that spends alot of time out, enjoy the fact that it's visible!

If you can watch your corn move around and about consider yourself lucky. If I happen to walk in my room and mine sees me he will look up at me with a go to hell look and go hide lol.

IMHO, it just depends on personality. I have two or three that just like to travel, climb, etc.
One of which happens to be my snow. I think some are just curious. Several, I think, just like spying on me.

We can always tell when our Voldemort is hungry. About a day before feeding day he starts roaming and climbing everything. Otherwise, we never see him. Same with Salazar. Pinky on the other hand is very social and it almost seems like she "begs" to come out and be held. She'll come right up to the glass and wait there until you get her out. She rarely uses her hides and prefers to actual burrow into her aspen if she feels like being shy, however, her head is almost always poking out!

When you change to a new tank or swap things around in the existing one, some of them will behave as if they were in a completely new environment - either "patrolling" as you've described, or hiding more than usual.

Any of mine that did that, have usually settled back to normal behavour after two or three weeks. Most aren't fussed by changes, but it can rattle some. As long as she still eats and shows no other signs of a health issue, I wouldn't worry about it.

well i guess i need to feed her, i didnt feed her yesterday when she was supposed to eat. So maybe she is hungry because she usually i never out, but she is more of a roaming snake to start from. well she is in her hide now, her warm hide which i never see her in... hAhA
