Bite Thread (Sound Off)

Took me five years before I finally tagged by a little ultramel female pissed at a camera flashing around her. :) I have scars from a cat and a horse... the dog didn't leave a mark :)

Geesh....

Snakes:

Garter
Black Racer
Corn
Scarlet King
Rough Green

Lizards:

Anoles (green and cuban)
Iguana
Skins (S.E Five Lined, Broadheaded)

And let me just say that broadheaded skink bites REALLY hurt!

I can imagine. As a rule, I'd try to keep my fingers out of the mouth of anything that has a name that starts with "Broadheaded."

And where have you been Joe?

Working. Funny how much time that seems to take up, doesn't it? Get home at 4:30, eat dinner, jump online at 6 or so and normally in bed by 11 or 12. Sort of limits exactly how much you can do.

That's some list! Out of curiosity, what's a spinner shark?

I don't recall ever being bitten by a non-snake. Though I have had ducks get my fingers - can ducks "bite?" :crazy02:

A colleague at work once asked me if my snails could bite me. LOL.
Spinner shark...

Yes, Ducks bite... I forgot to add Muscovy Duck to my list... They are mean, almost as bad as Geese...

Actually, yes they can (apple/mystery snails anyway). They actually do have teeth to help bite parts of plants and scrape algea off the side of the tank. If you have ones that are big enough you can see their teeth as they go along the glass (I used to raise them). It doesn't hurt but it does tickle when they try to bite you (not the same as a snake bite though).

Indeed, but my snails are not the type with teeth - they have radulas for rasping food. They will try and 'rasp' on you, but I would hardly call it a bite. I just thought it was pretty funny.

Wow, you were bitten by one of those? :eek1: I love sharks, but can't say I'd want to get quite that close...
