Black light fiasco

I have a light fixture with two black light flourescent tubes... can the snakes see the black light... ie... is it safe to run them at night w/o disturbing them? I ask because the Night-Glo bulb I have for heat at night is basically a black light uv emitter. Suggestions would be great!

o.k.

The "Night-Glo" bulb for reptiles emits nothing but blue light. If you are talking about the tube like one you buy at the pet store. Anything they say on the package is a lie. They emit plain blue light. And they are fine for reptiles and snakes.

True Black Lights are not good for reptiles. At all as they DO emit different things. So don't use them on your tank.
