Black out = Dead corns?

Sorry, once again was confusing 'Taiwan' with 'The rest of the world', though I have no idea what the climate is like in your area.

They have hot and cold packs that you can purchase, and keep for power outages. One winter in Ohio, I slept with a five foot water dragon under my shirt in front of the fireplace and ever since then, those packs were a must. The cold ones really came in handy for me when the power went out here in Florida, I was a walking cold pack magnet :D

I will be getting a corn soon and on the news it said we might have a blackout near where I live. If I have a black out, there is no way to keep the corn im getting, warm.

What can I do, just in case I have a black out?
The only pets to worry about during a massive black out like this due to heat are tropical fish and reef tanks. They need the water circulation to be able to thrive. Snakes and most reptiles will be fine in a heat wave induced blackout. If you had Newts then I might be worried but you should be fine.

Why would you need a kettle for hot water?

Just get the Hot (Warm) Water from any sink.
It's amazing how hot water is out of the tap. As only a herp owner would do, I las-temped the water coming out of our tap...the cold was at 94 F...

Remember what feels "warm" to humans is hell fire/lava hot to your snake...just a reminder to be careful and get accurate temperature readings. =)
