Blizzard stripe

Had a hard time getting her to sit still. Did the best I could.
Thought blue would be the best background.
I got her this summer here in NY at the Westchester reptile show.
She has that wierd pink in her.
Picked up a regular male Blizzard too.

Awesome! Blizzards are one of my favorites......I think a stripe is the perfect addition to any cornsnake.....

Cool corn. I can't recall the last time I saw a pic of a blizzard stripe. I wonder if the stripe pattern will have yellow edges when she's older. That would be a nice look. With the amount of yellow she already has on her neck, it's probably likely.

that's no blizzard, atleast it sure doesn't look like one. i'd bet it's a snow stripe and if you're lucky, maybe it'll be het blizzard. i've seen a few striped blizzards, and none of them looked like that.

For arguments sake, when I first saw the pictures I thought snow as well. That doesn't look like a blizzard to me either.

And I have to agree as well. :(

But there is so much variation in the morphs that I decided to hint at my conclusions peripherally. But if the doubt about her pedigree becomes too much for you (BiLL) to handle, I'll take her off your hands. Heck, I'll even pay shipping. :)

Hey no problem.
I just took a couple more pictures with out the flash, and close up.
I seen this blizzard with the other one I bought on the table, and I passed them up because I was still looking around, and they were quite small. I looked over a few others, and for the price that was asked for the pair I took a chance.
At first glance I did not even see the stripe, but she sure looks like blizzards do when real small, that strange looking colour.
They sure did not look anything like a snow.
I have seen alot of blizzard babies and snow babies.
I guess we will know for sure in 3 years when I breed them together. And with e with my charcoal het ameal.
I am 99 % sure she is a blizzard

:) I'll take her whatever, whenever... :) (Happy Holidays to you too...)

well, just make sure to let us all know what happens in a few years when you breed that "blizzard" stripe to the blizzard. My money is still on that snake being a snow stripe, not a blizzard.

Do me a favor since you have seen a few. Post up some pictures of adult, and juveniles, so we can see.
Thanks

I agree, that's a lot of pattern to be expected from a Blizzard Stripe...I would expect a more faded pattern...

My Blizzard was solid pink as a hatchling, then months later developed an extremely faded pattern.

I've seen Snow Stripes look identical to what you've posted.

Very pretty regardless. :) I hope to be producing Snow Stripe in 2006 or 2007.

i don't own any striped blizzards (i wish i did!), but i have seen a few. 2 i've seen in person and 1 was on a website, may have been roylance's website, but i'm not for sure. The stripes on the striped blizzards i saw were very subtle, you had to kind of look for them. i still say that your snake looks to be a striped snow, and as i said before, maybe you'll luck out and it'll be het blizzard. Did the breeder have the parents with him? do you know what the parents were?

Well seems to me there are a few things possable here.
1 The breeder is unethical and is selling something that is not what he says it is.
Doubt it since all the corns were the same price, would be nothing to gain and his reputation to lose.
2 The breeder has an (striped) anery A and he thinks it is an anery B (striped)
Doubt it he seemed like he knew what he was talking about and he had snows, blizzards, sunglows ,Stripe this and that ect. ect.
3 The breeder made a mistake when he was realy drunk and put the wrong snake in the cage with the striped ameal in breeding season. And it is a honest mistake.
MMMM maybe, I have done a few dumb things while in a altered state of mind.
4 All of the above. :crazy02:
I hope to see the breeder at the show next month, maybe I can get some kind of proof for the doubting Thomas's.
HO HO HO
:santa:
OK 1 more picture from the side with good light and no flash.
If you cant see this is a blizzard you need to get glasses and/or a new monitor!!!!!
