Typically around a couple of days. Maybe 5 or so. The blue will disappear and then he will shed.

Hello there and welcome!!
If they said you have a normal corn, that is probably the "morph" of your corn. If you use the Search option at top of screen, you can type in morph and find out about all the wonderful colours/patterns corns come in. Double check which morph your snake is.
When they are in shed mode, they can take anywhere between 5-10 days approximately to complete this cycle.
Need to find out about husbandry conditions......
What is your viv setup?
How many hides do you have?
Do you have a warm and cool side?
How are you heating your viv?
How big is your water bowl?
These are all important factors for a successful shed. And also well being for your snake.
Also, you say your snake is an adult..How big is it? What are you feeding it and how often? When was the last time it was fed?
Sorry about all the questions, but i can only help you, if i have more information. :)
