Boy or girl python

I have recently been given 2 pythons and now I am going to sell one of them but I need to know which is the boy and which is the girl as I want to keep the girl, there is a diff between the tails they are about 7 & 8 years old and one is a lot bigger any easy way to tell I can take a pic if needed.

the nearest vet is quite a way away so a bit far but a possibilty, the main reason we want to keep the girl is she had 4 eggs so want to keep an eye on her for gaining her weight up etc.

We have a rough idea but not 100% sure.

My "guess" would be... if both are around the same age... and both are "adults"... and one is significantly larger... the larger python is likely the female? Only way to be sure, of course, is to probe, as there are always exceptions to the rule... but it's a good guess.

Usually- the female is the bigger of the two. But you can't really know for sure without having them probed. Another not so accurate method that may still help is to compare the length of the tail starting at the cloaca. Males should have a longer tail.
Personally, I would have them probed if it means that much to you
