I will probably still try to find someone local to sex these for sure. But, does someone want to try and see if they can tell if they think these are male or female? Thanks. Laura

How old are they? Im sure your local vet/petstore can help you out. Great pics tho, But for the tail base thing to work they have to be a bit older. Although the top one looks like..a male i think..
 
I got them at a pet store late last year, so maybe 6 months. I know pet stores are bad. LOL I will be buying from a breeder for the next ones.
 
That's not the best angle to tell from. If you could post a shot of them from strait up, looking down so we don't see it from the side like that it's easier to guess. But at that age a even the best guess would still be just a guess.
 
i'm leaning towards female on the first but it could go either way, i think the second one deffinitely looks female tho.

but whatever they end up being good luck with them ^___^
 
I'm going to be getting mates for each of them, not breeding them together. Just have to figure out who is what. LOL Sex matters but not that much. They are both cool snakes. I'm trying to call around to find someone local to sex them. I'm in Allentown, eastern PA. Anyone know anyone somewhat close who could do this and not charge an arm and a leg? thanks.
 
Yeah...found a local herp shop that will sex them for $5 each. I will be taking them tonight or tomorrow. Let you know what they are. Of course this is the same herp shop that sold me a rat snake as a corn. I'm hoping that was just an error not their common practice.

Both are girls! The Anery looks as if it could pass for a male but the tapering is early. I'd put my money on saying they are both GIRLS!

I'll be running over shortly with them to check. I'll let you know when I get back. Like I said, I just need to know. Doesn't really matter either way, just need to know which sex to get for a mate so in a couple years when they're ready I'll have the right sexes. A couple of years seems so far off. But, I'm pregnant right now so by the time this little one is a little older I will be ready to breed the corns. :)

Ok, the first one is a GIRL and the second one is a BOY. One of each, although I'm still not breeding them together. I'll be getting others from breeders from now on. :)
