Brindle vs. Calico

I have a mouse that I consider a brindle. I believe she carries the obesity gene because she is still very fat after giving birth just over a week ago. After she raises this litter, she will no longer be breeding. I also have one that looks like a brindle, but with white markings. I saw a picture of one a couple of months back that looked just like her, but was labled as a calico. Is there a way to tell the difference between calico and brindle? Also, what colors are most prone to obesity problems?
 
I don't know much on the calico and brindle question. But obesity I've noticed doesn;t happen much in my litter's. They've all been prone to Tumors. Mind you tumors are the number 1 killer (next to snakes eating them of course) in mice. But I'm going to take a shot here and say that I know for suck calico has 3 colors. Where Brindles have 2. Or so I've noticed.
 
So there is no "pied" brindle? If it is brindle with white spots, its calico? She's the only one I have a problem with being over weight. She looks extremely fat and is pretty lazy. I have a gray one that I'd like to replace her with anyway to get a variety of colors.
 
Well I don't quiet know I know the pet store up here has an obese mouse they thought she was pregnant. Till I saw the poor mouse. It turned out to be a really fat male. But it could be a pied brindle.
