Bringing my snake to university...

Ok, today I have to take my snake to Uni with me, as I am using her in a green screen project. Its basically filming her doing her thing on a soild green background, which we will then use film editing stuff to impose a different background on.... like.... clouds? We could have her flying for example lol.

Basically, I am worried about the cold and travel. Its early in the morning so its going to be freezing here in England, the drive is 20mins but I will have the heater in the car. I am going to bring a spare heat matt for the travel tank as well. Its not perfect, but as long as I keep an eye on her, do you think she will be ok?
 
Yes. 20 minutes in a heated car is not gonna hurt her. I have travelled much farther in freezing weather before and all were alright.

Sorry, couldn't resist that one. Whenever I want mine to look the slightest bit "interesting" when I'm showing them off, they just disappear under their hides and sulk! :)

I'm applying to Bournemouth Uni next year - must try and work out how to fit Corn Snakes in with an Archaeology course....
 
Corns are pretty hardy temps wise. I drove 20 hours (in two days) with my little hatchling right after I got him. He spent it in his 10 gal viv with UTH applications as necessary. I look forward to seeing what you produce!

Just another suggestion, if you are really worried about the temps on the day/days of travel, as I know it can get pretty chilly over here, you could put a hot water bottle, partly filled with warm water, not hot!, under your corns travel box during the journey.
I've done this on a few occaisions, especially when the car refuses to warm up quick enough, lol!
