Copperheads are just plain gorgeous. Too bad they happen to be hot. I'd love to have one if they weren't (that, and certain cobra species . Yours--and everyone else's are beautiful!
Very nice indeed. Just wondering. I remember seeing 20 years ago or so some (what they use to call Trans-Pecos not sure about today) coppers with a solid background color w/o bands. Any still around? How rare if so?
Hey Cflaguy- Yep, they ones out west are still called Trans Pecos Copperheads. A buddy was telling me that he saw a pic a few months back of a patternless Trans Pecos Copperhead. I have hunted that area for years and never found a patternless one.... Ya'll found 'em and I guess other people have found them too.. They sound amazing! Thanks!
Gorgeous all of them! I would have been paranoid about placing any wild caught specimen in with my clean captive bred animals. I don't even keep any w/c stuff in the same room if I'm taking care of any. My copperhead is one of my favorite animals but terrible about the hook! You're right about that. Got a pair of pilstrum tongs now just for him.
