Hey everyone!
I am so, so thrilled to present to you, my blue-tongued skink!
I had mentioned a little while ago that I was in contact with a breeder in Canada, and the day finally came to meet and get my little one. I am super excited (and a bit nervous as I've never had a lizard before) and CAN'T WAIT to hold it!... But I will let it settle in, of course. :bird:
The skink comes from John Delahaye (I hope he's okay with me throwing his name out there); I just have to tell you what a wonderful person he is, and how absolutely OUTSTANDING his customer service is. He was fabulous... I really can't say that enough. He was kind enough to meet me, about 4 or 5 hours away, so we didn't have to ship the skink and I didn't have to make the long drive. We met in Toronto for the exchange (and as it worked out, he was visiting others while there and so we scheduled around that). The baby arrived safe, healthy, and curious as can be. We had a nice bit of a chat - not to mention one or two phone calls along with email updating and whatnot - and I just can't recommend him enough. He has given me so much great and detailed advice... you can really tell her cares about the skinks he raises and breeds. Looking forward to keeping in contact with him!
I digress!
This one is from John, as he takes better photos than I. Although, the photos do NOT do the skink justice!
This is just a very short clip of the first feeding with me. Eating all of the expensive canned dog food and none of the veggies and fruits. Going to have to trick this one into eating it's greens me thinks!

I hope those worked.
Anyhow, the skink is currently nameless as I am super indecisive about it right now. But I will let you know when I decide, and hopefully add a bunch more photos of the little nugget!
Thanks for looking!
