Building a cage

Can anyone tell me where i can find plans to build my own cage. Plus, i have a ball and a corn...can I house together?

1st I would NEVER put a ball python and a cornsnake in the same cage. Im pretty sure you would be less one snake at the least. You can cage in the same room, or in a tank above/below. But I wouldnt suggest together at any time. Plus they both have differen housing requirments. Balls need more humidity and heat than a corn does.

2nd A good site to start with for caging plans. Would be Clay Davenports here the link http://www.arbreptiles.com/index.html

Hope that helps

Building cages are really not econmically worth while. You'd be better off just buying one.

I convert aquariums into cages......works out pretty well too.....Only for smaller species of snake though...

Building can be more expensive....

Building one certainly can be more expensive than buying. It really depends on what you want. The one I'm in the middle of buying has some rather stringent requirements set down by the wife --- so it has to look juuuussst right. As such .... the cost is higher than I planned.

Ah, well. The converted aquarium is working out just fine for Venkman so far; it's housing the 4 that arrive on Saturday that have me rushed to finish the viv ....

Building is definetally more expensive than buying. I also use all-glass aquariums as a cage for my corn. I was planning on building a cage with 2 sections. One for my corn and one for my new one. then a stand that would serve as a baby rack. Well i'm not building the cages anymore but going ahead with the baby rack. I can get birch plywood (3/4") for $20 a sheet. Good luck!
