Building a new viv - ideas?

PS vivarium was just made and not complete in 1st pic, before you tell me my elaborate claims of a beautiful packed-full of decor aren't true! The whole thing is like the 2nd pic now!

thats a cracking vivarium, did you have the cuts made in store? did you get it all out of a singles 6x3ft sheet, id like to rip of your idea with a little more info, please

Hey Beanie, just out of curiosity here. Why do you have the heat mat on the side, I can still see how it would heat that small area but surely not enough for the size of the tank. Wouldn't it have been better to use a red/infrared lightbulb to heat the tank, like a 60W or something?

But that aside, that's still a wonderful tank, well done.

yeah, id like a bit more info, just for the size of panels, and how much would it actually took to make it, i dont think id manage what you did with the electrics, but the viv itself should be within my grasp.

Snake Dave: Yeah, the heat mat is on the side and doesn't heat that great an area no... however I do have a 60W red bulb in there also. The heat mat is more somewhere he can curl up beside if he wants, and heats that little hide quite well as a hot spot in the tank.

Phiber Optix: They aren't dimmer switches lol, one switch is the master, one is the heat mat, one is the red bulb, and the other is the daylight bulb.

CounterCulture: I need to leave in a few mins this morning, I'll have a think this evening about what all I needed and the amount of wood, think I might have written it down somewhere - then I'll post what I remember on here.

Great looking viv, just out of interest, how much did it cost to make?
