Bulging eyes?

Hi all

Please can someone help me out, I took my corn snake to the reptile shop this morning for them to see if they can get her to feed. They noticed that she has bulging eyes, I just thought it was a characteristic ( sorry if I m being naive) but my other snake doesnt have them now I look. Is bulging eyes a sign of something bad?


Apart from that the reptile shop said she looked very alert and didnt feel hollow, which was great, she hasnt been feeding for weeks!!Ive left her with them to see if they can get her going again!!

Well the bulging eyes is one thing that has been going on for a long time already. I remember Kathy Love telling me that there was this guy that created this 'morph'or bulging eyes and selling them to people.

I think that this bulging eye thing is actually a genetic kind of thing. Not any disease or anything. I mean if that 'guy'could get them to breed, then I guess that as long as it looks healthy and if it will feed, for you then I woulf guess that it's fine...but if you are thinking about breeding it, please label it correctly so that other people what gene this snake carries.

oh thats good. I have no plans at the moment to brred either of my cornsnakes, I want a few years of getting to know all about them first, although I am tempted to buy a few more with amazing colouring on at the moment!!!
 
this bulging eyes thing is a case called "bubble eyes" and in the genetics/morphs section of the "cornsnake manual" it is full of information about it and other genetic disorders
