Bullseye

Snowfyre

Snake-getti on the Loose
Okay this is something that hatched out of the same clutch as my hypolavs. I thought the irregularities were peatmoss stuck to it and tried to brush the spots off between the saddles. Apparently it was not. I hope to see if this is genetic or just an environmental caused abnormality. But either way its pretty cool looking. He's from my pair of hypomelanistics. One of the hypolavs has a single spot between the saddles. Has anyone else had something like this hatch?

Hmm... I haven't... here's hoping it's genetic. Bullseye combos could be fun. That snake from Fido X Cressy, I assume?

Something like that could be neat on motleys, or if you could make a 5-lined stripe I'm sure all the stripe lovers would gobble that up. :)

I've got one snake with similar markings, and he came out of an egg that was attacked by fungus. But you know what they say, there's only one way to find out. :santa:

I would take this one and breed it back to mom, and if nothing happens there, breed one of the daughters from that cross back to him. If nothing comes out of either of those crosses, it's a safe bet that it isn't reproducible/heritable.

Plans

Well what I got planned is to check this next batch of babies from the parents. I only got two babies this year due to a mistake I made. But I'll see if there are any new ones that exhibit the same trait. Then next year I do plan on some breeding back to mom for testing. I kept 1.1 hypolavenders and 1.2 hypos from the clutch for testing. The two sisters I kept look very different. Some people say that you can tell sometimes which babies carry lavender by look. So out of curiousity I kept two that were VERY different. I'll put some images up of them soon.
