bump

Hi-

You really have to give out more information. Where is the lump?

If it was a big meal....two days could still be the mouse.

Give more info....where the lump is....temps in your cage..etc

Is it like a blister? Could be a number of things; could be a worm (you're gonna have to cut his skin and pull that sucker out), could be blister disease from too much moisture, could be an abscese, or could be something I didn't mention. Post a pic, a clear one.

ok................

It,s not a blister its inside him its more like ummmmmmmm........he swalowed somethim it looks like a mouse. The pinky might have been a lil to big but he dident regurgatate. Its located like ware the pinky normaly is when you feed him.And the temps are fine 70-72 on the cool side and around 90 on the warm side.
Ok
Hope this helps

oh, just leave him alone then, let him digest his meal, he'll be fine.

Agreed.

Its most likely the pinkie...

Write again in a few days and let us know

uh oh that sounds bad:( Hard you say? Like rock hard? Did you try running your finger underneath her belly? Can you move the lump back and forth with your thumb?

Could be one of two things, she could have crypto, but since she's eating and she's not sick right? shouldn't be crypto. Or she could've swallowed something she shouldn't have. What bedding do you use? Do you feed in cage or out? Do you regularly see bedding in her poop (like aspen flakes if you use aspen)?

You also said you fed a bigger than normal mouse? Could be the mouse's skull, hard to digest, sticks around for a little bit and can be rock hard.

In comparison to the size of her stomach right after she's fed is the lump bigger or smaller or the same size as that?

-13mur 6

I feed him out of the cage,i cant move it around, thare is no bedding in hiz poo and its bigger after i feed him.

hmm... does she look straining at all? Is she acting normally? Is she lethargic? Acting different in anyway?

-13mur 6

nope

he is acting a little less active but i think this is because he is about to shed(eyes are blue)and he dosent look like he is in any pain.I think this bump is pretty odd.

Thanx

Hmm I would take this snake to the vet right away.

No one can really say what it is and unfortunatly if you wait to long waiting to see what happens the snake could die. I would find yourself a good high qaulity reptile vet who is well versed in snakes and take it in a.s.a.p.

Just MHO

Important note:

Hey tell us if that lump ever comes back. My snake just got over a bacterial infection. One of the symptoms was a lump that came and went depending on feeding cycle. The lump of the food item would appear in her belly, and as she digested her food the lump would slowly go down, but all of a sudden three days after eating the lump would be huge as if she just ate an adult mouse, but the lump would go away again, if I handled her, or gave her more food.

Tell us what to poop looks like too, because when my snake was sick she had some really nasty undigested poop (nope, it wasn't a regurge, I saw it come out the other end).

but...........................

lets just say he did have this bactireal infection what would happon what will i have to do.

Will he die without the right kind of medication.

Does he need medication.

How much does the medication cost.

What are more symtoms.

Thank you

Depending on the bacteria, symptoms could range to almost nothing to devastation.

He could die, or just shrug it off.

I think I payed like $20 for baytril from my vet, but to treat it properly a bacteria culture needs to be done (pretty expensive, I payed $65 for it), and a sensitivity test has to be done to figure which drug works best if there is a bacterial infection.

I wouldn't start worrying about bacteria right away since your snake has normal poop and everything else she does seems normal right? No dehydration, no lethargy, no loosing weight right?

Symptoms I had were: Really nasty undigested mouse poop, a soft lump in the stomach that came and went, lose of weight, and regurgitation.
